Ennamo Nadakkuthu, touted be a new age thriller in Tamil cinema, is all set to hit the screens tomorrow (April 25th) along with the other three releases. Please find below a list of interesting snippets and trivia on the film to guide you for tomorrow.

  • Cast and Crew: The film is directed by debutant Rajapandi and produced by Vinoth Kumar for Triple V Records. It stars Vijay Vasanth in the lead role and has Mahima Nambiar making her debut as the love interest of Vijay. It also has an interesting supporting cast in Prabhu, Rahman, Saranya Ponvannan, Thambi Ramaiah and Sukanya
  • The Timeline: The movie was launched in December 2012 and went on floors in February 2013 and has been in the development stage on and off for the past one and a half year. It is finally seeing the light of day in a big clash tomorrow
  • The ‘ManiRatnam’ connection: Director Rajapandi who is making his directorial debut is a former associate of one of India’s most respected filmmakers Maniratnam. He assisted Mani Ratnam in his 1993 heist-comedy thriller ‘Thiruda Thiruda’
  • The National Awards: Four national award winners who have successfully proved their abilities are part of the film. Saranya Ponvannan, Thambi Ramaiah and the editing duo KL Praveen and NB Srikanth
  • The Debuts: Apart from the director Rajapandi, Mahima Nambiar from Kerala is also making her debut with this film. The film also marks Vijay Vasanth’s debut as an actor in a lead role. Saranya Ponvannan, well-known for her quintessential mother characters, has turned singer for the first time in the film. The song portrays a mother’s love for her son
  • Premji Amaran: This is the second film Premji Amaran is composing music for a Vijay Vasanth film. The former was also the music composer of latter’s Thozha in which he shared screen space with Nithin Satya, Ajay Raj and Premji himself
  • The Kamal Haasan connection: A. Venkatesh, the cinematographer of the film has also worked with Kamal Haasan in Vasool Raja MBBS, a rib-tickling comedy film
