Will Lakshmi Menon oblige director Saami’s request?

Director Saami is known for attempting controversial subjects on screen. In fact, his latest offering Kangaroo is his only film that didn’t face any major controversy. The director has already completed writing his next film titled Pen Saamy. As the name suggests, it will be a women-centric film and will deal about the travails of modern women. But, Saami wants Lakshmi Menon to play the lead role in his film.

“After writing the script, I felt that Lakshmi Menon can pull off the role. Her boldness, unusual looks and histrionic abilities would suit the character. Moreover, it portrays the heroism of a woman,” says Saami who assures that the film will be a never-before attempt.
