Prakash Raj, who was signed on to play a pivotal role in Rajinikanth’s Kabali has backed out of the movie citing date issues. “Since the makers asked for a call sheet of non-stop 60 days, I couldn’t provide it. I wish to act with Rajini sir. But since I’m acting in ten different languages, I had to check with other films too. I regret that I couldn’t do Kabali,” says Prakash Raj.
“Ranjith is a brilliant director. It’s a fantastic story. It will be a different film for Rajini sir. I have a line-up of two Hindi films, two Marathi films and a kids film. Since Kabali is a big budget film, I need to concentrate on it alone. So, the situation did not favor me to be a part of the movie,” added Prakash Raj.
It must be noted that Prakash Raj has never shared screen space with Rajinikanth in a full-fledge role. He played a cameo appearance in KS Ravikumar’s Padaiyappa long back.
