When Vijay Sethupathi told Muttiah Muralitharan that he doesn’t know zilch about cricket

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who has been signed to play the lead role in the official biopic of Muttiah Muralitharan, has revealed in a recent interaction about his first meeting with the legendary off-spinner.

“I have never seen cricket since my childhood. I don’t even know the basics of the game. I don’t know how I am going to do this film but it will be a challenging experience for me,” Vijay Sethupathi told Muralitharan. Rana Daggubati will be co-producing the biopic of legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan alongside DAR Motion Pictures. The film will be written & directed by M.S.Sripathy and will be made in Tamil and released in several languages across the world.
