Despite his hectic schedule shooting simultaneously for 2.o and Kabali for the past few weeks, Superstar Rajinikanth has taken time to watch maverick filmmaker Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai. Floored by Varalaxmi Sarathkumar’s brilliant portrayal of Sooravali, Superstar called her to congratulate on her sterling performance and here’s what happened.
“I was dumbstruck and didn’t know how to react. He found time to speak to me despite his busy schedule. When Rajini sir compliments you, it’s always special because from a legend like him and also, he is so sincere in his praise. He will tell you mind details about your performance, etc., making the compliment quit genuine. I fact, he said, ‘Sorry I have called you up a bit late’,” reveals Varalaxmi.
