Certainly, some characters in the film we watch travel back home with us and never intend to fade away like Baahubali, Balla Deva, DevaSenaa, Kattappa, Sivagami Devi of the ever-green in memory “Baahubali“. Rosshan Andrrews’ Kayamkulam Kochunni a magnum opus produced by Sree Gokulam Gopalan featuring Nivin Pauly, Mohanlal and Priya Anand in lead roles is produced at a whopping budget.
This film is said to be very big in terms of the production cost and the trade is said to be abuzz with the release date of this film. “Making a period film becomes an easier task with a plethora of research materials available. With just a trivial number of references with the books too, the celluloid version couldn’t be accounted for more than 30 minutes. So we decided to make a different approach. We started developing as many questions as possible to proceed with the script drafting process” says Rosshan Andrrews.
“We didn’t restrict our confinement of research only upon this central character but got themselves enlightened with some of the famous personalities – Swati Thirunal and Ithikkara Pakki, who lived during the times of Kayankulam Kochunni,” he added.
