What’s the story of Maddy’s Irudhi Suttru?

Ever since the trailer of Irudhi Suttru was released, everyone has praised Madhavan’s rustic, hot-tempered look in the film and his ultimate transformation as a boxing coach. In a recent interview, CV Kumar has opened up about the story of the film. “Irudhi Suttru is about an anti-establishment boxing coach with a lot of angst against the system that let him down, finally redeeming himself by training a girl who goes on to be a world champion. And Madhavan reinvented himself completely to look like a gritty, tough, angry boxer,” says CV Kumar.

Directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad of Dhrogi fame, Irudhi Suttru features real-life boxers Ritika Singh and Mumtaz Sorcar as female leads. It has music by Santhosh Narayanan.

CV Kumar also confirmed that he is looking for a release date towards the end of January or early February for the Siddharth-starrer Enakkul Oruvan.
