Was Jyotika taking a dig at Vijay again at Raatchasi press meet?
Speaking at the press meet of Raatchasi, Jyotika said, “Although I’m not on Twitter, I once in a while check out the tweets through Suriya’s account. Some of them had posted that I’m the Lady Samuthirakani and Raatchasi is just another Saattai. It doesn’t matter if so many films deal about the same topic since the theme is very essential to society and has a good message.”
However, what Jyotika went on to say to defend her argument has irked the fans of Thalapathy Vijay. “In Tamil, we have a lot of big budget commercial films where the hero romances three heroines, and with the same plotlines. But, we no one would bat an eyelid about those films,” she stated.
Jyotika has got a sudden enlightenment. Her filmography is 90% of commercial films. As she has expressed her disgust for commercial films, I'm going to make a proposal to her that if she can return the fruits that she reaped from commercial films.

Jyotika is being salty here. I'm all for you promoting your own film. But there's no need to take a jibe at commercial films. Please let us know how many big budget commercial films have come in the last few years that had heroes romancing 3 heroines. She's taking a dig at #Mersal? https://t.co/D6NJOrsxGI

Jyotika was initially approached to play the role of Nithya Menen in director Atlee’s Mersal before she opted out and delivered an infamous speech at the audio launch of Magalir Mattum, requesting directors to be responsible and star heroes to stop romancing multiple heroines on screen.
Raatchasi is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and is slated to hit screens on July 5th.
