I wanted to quit cinema: Anushka Shetty

Anushka Shetty has gone emotional in an interview and revealed that she actually wanted to quit cinema once. She made her debut in Tollywood in Nagarjuna’s Super and ever since, she has been the leading star in the Telugu industry with versatile number of films to her repertoire. Even in Tamil, she has a sizeable number of films. Currently, she is part of Rajinikanth’s Lingaa and Ajith’s Thala 55. 

“When I made my debut in Super, Nagarjuna and director Puri Jagannath offered me good tips on my career. Then, I had to face a lot of hurdles during my second film. I even thought I should quit cinema for once and all. Had I quit then, people would have forgotten me by now. I strived hard to attain a good place in the industry. No one receives you with red carpet. We have to bear upon humiliations to accomplish,” says Anushka.
