VJ Ramya joins Mani Ratnam’s next

VJ Ramya, who was last seen in Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha in a blink-and-miss role as press reporter, is the latest addition to Mani Ratnam’s next. VJ Ramya has been one of the popular faces in the tinseltown for her anchoring in audio launch events and film-related functions. Now, bankable sources confirm that she has bagged a brief but important role in the film. Tentatively titled Okay Kanmani, the film is currently progressing at a swift pace in Mumbai and it is said to be the final schedule. Touted to be an urban love story, Okay Kanmani marks the comeback of Mani Ratnam and PC Sreeram after Alaipayuthey.

Okay Kanmani is a Tamil – Malayalam bi-lingual which has Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in lead roles. It also has Prakash Raj in an important role and Kanika of Varalaaru fame in a cameo. AR Rahman composes music.
