Vishal – Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi 2 goes on floors
Sandakozhi 2, the long-pending sequel to Sandakozhi, has finally gone on floors today with an auspicious pooja in the city. Directed by Lingusamy, the movie stars Vishal in the lead role and marks his 25th project in the industry.

The movie is produced by Vishal’s home banner Vishal Film Factory. The team has constructed a Madurai set worth Rs. 6 crores resembling a temple festival in Binny Mills. Important scenes of the first schedule of the movie will be canned here before the makers head to Karaikudi and Theni for the next leg of shooting.
Keerthy Suresh plays the lead heroine and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays a pivotal role. Rajkiran has been retained from the first part, alongside comedian Soori who is new to the franchise. Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose music for the film.
