Vishal to file a complaint on SIFAA vice-president KN Kalai
The remarks of KN Kalai – the vice-president of South Indian Film Artistes’ Association in a function in Madurai has irked actor Vishal. With the elections for SIFAA around the corner, reports are going around that young actors are likely to contend this time for various posts, especially Vishal. KN Kalai, apparently, has called those who oppose the present heads of the union as dogs and went on to say that there are two different sects in the association – cinema jaathi and naadaga jaathi. KN Kalai has also revealed that a section of the union is not happy with young actors raising funds for a permanent building for the union.
Vishal is now in the process of filing a complaint against Kalai for his derogatory remarks. “Yes, I am in the process of filing a complaint on Kalai with SIFAA based on by-law 13 in the nadigar sangam. He also tried to create a rift between cinema and theater in his speech. I also have the video evidence to prove his actions,” says Vishal to a daily.
