Vikram signs 300-crore magnum-opus ‘Mahavir Karna’

Vikram has made a surprise announcement on his next mega-budget project. The film is titled Mahavir Karna and will be directed by RS Vimal, who made his debut through the Malayalam romance drama Ennu Ninte Moideen. The movie is said to be a multilingual and will be majorly shot in Hindi.

“This mega multilingual primarily shot in Hindi boasts a casting coup of sorts with the best talents from across India, to be announced in the coming weeks. RS Vimal will don the director’s cap with the crème de la crème of technicians, joining hands with him from across the globe. The 300 cr film slated for release in December 2019 will go on the floors in October this year,” read a statement.

The movie will go on floors after Vikram completes all his ongoing commitments including director Hari’s Saamy Square and Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram. There are also reports that Vikram is in talks with Thoongavanam director Rajesh Selva for a film, to be produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.

Vikram is currently awaiting the release of Sketch on January 12th.
