Vikram breaks 5-year-long record of Baahubali 2 in TN Box Office; turns highest grosser!
Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram overtook the collections of Baahubali 2 in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, when it crossed the 150 crore mark set by the Prabhas starrer. Vikram has rampaged past the target, which has been in place for the last 5 years. The film has broken the record in just 16 days of time, which is a phenomenal feat altogether. 17 days (till June 19th) of Vikram’s TN gross is close to 160Cr (158.7Cr) and will be adding more to its record in this week as well.
Baahubali 2 had held the stage for 5 long years, which is a big feat in itself being a film which originally originated from another state. We will have to wait and see as to how many more years Vikram can hold the record for.
In the overall picture, Vikram is now the second highest grosser of all time with just 2.0 ahead of it. The film has 360+ crores worldwide till now and is a mega blockbuster on all fronts.
