Vikram’s Ai on par with Rajinikanth’s Endhiran in AP

The whopping price of Vikram – Shankar’s Ai is the hottest buzz in the tinsel town. Recently, Aascar Ravichandran invited a section of Telugu media to his office and screened the trailer and few rushes of Ai. The word-of-mouth is tremendous for the film in Andhra Pradesh now since everyone who watched the promos were awestruck and quite convinced that it’s something never seen before in Indian cinema. Now, Laxmi Ganapathi films is in the running for purchasing the Telugu dubbing rights.

Aascar is planning to sell the Telugu dubbing rights for Rs. 20 crores, but Laxmi Ganapathi films are ready to acquire the film for Rs. 15 crores. Now, Aascar is still waiting for a prospective buyer expecting that there will be more buzz for the film in the coming days. So far in Andhra Pradesh, only Rajinikanth’s Robo, the dubbed version of Endhiran managed to strike a 20 crore plus deal. The theatrical rights for Robo was sold for Rs. 27 crore  including the Nizam area and AP rights. Will AI become the second Tamil film to manage a 20 crore plus deal in AP?
