Vijay Sethupathi’s Naanum Rowdy Thaan will roll out from today. Helmed by Vignesh Shivan of Poda Podi fame, the shooting will kickstart in Pondicherry today. This is an important film for Vijay Sethupathi since this is the first time he’s paired with an A-list actress – Nayanthara, K’town’s most in-demand face in front of camera. Naanum Rowdy Thaan is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films.
Anirudh Ravichander, Dhanush’s regular collaborator, will compose music. George Williams, who impressed with his work in Raja Rani and Kaththi will handle the camera. Ace editor Sreekar Prasad will take charge of the editing department. Naanum Rowdy Thaan is said to be a Chennai-based story and substantial portions of the film will be shot in and around the busy locales of the city. Nayanthara has some portions still left to be shot for Venkat Prabhu’s Masss where she is co-starred with Suriya and is expected to juggle between the sets, as she has always been doing over the past two years.
