Vijay Sethupathi – Gokul team up for an action-comedy

Vijay Sethupathi and director Gokul, who delivered the rip-roaring Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumaraa, were in talks to work on a sequel to the project. Now, the duo has decided to drop the sequel idea and engage in an action-comedy flick, which will go on floors in the first quarter of 2017. Gokul’s last project Kaashmora starring Karthi, Nayanthara and Sri Divya was lauded for its spectacular making. 

Vijay Sethupathi is currently awaiting the release of Puriyaadha Pudhir for Pongal 2017. He also has KV Anand’s Kavan which is in the final stages of post production. He is also juggling between Pushkar-Gayathri’s gangster-cop thriller Vikram Vedha and Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s untitled episodic feature. He is expected to start shooting for Trisha’s ’96’ soon.
