Vijay regrets not acting under K Balachander’s direction
The towering figure of Tamil cinema K. Balachander’s funeral rights were held in the Besant Nagar crematorium without his most celebrated protege, Kamal Haasan who is on his way home from California. While Rajinikanth was one of the firsts to arrive at his home last night, Vijay visited the legend today. Since yesterday, an onslaught of tweets from various celebrities expressing their condolences and respects for one of the doyens of Indian cinema kept pouring. The latest is Ilayathalapathy Vijay who took on to Twitter an hour back to share his thoughts.
Though Vijay has never acted under KB’s direction, he’s featured in Kavithalaya Productions’ Thirumalai, which marked Vijay’s comeback film then. “I wish I had been lucky enough to act under ur direction. But I do consider myself fortunate to have been part of a film from ur production. I wish you peace in the eternal world. Thank you for everything you gave Indian cinema. RIP KB Sir,” posted Vijay.
