Vijay goes the extra mile for Mammootty’s My Tree Challenge

We earlier reported here that Mammootty nominated Vijay, Suriya and Shah Rukh to take up the My Tree Challenge, a noble initiative and a new eco-revolution started by two enviroment enthusiasts Abdul Manaf, an entrepreneur, and Imthias Kadeer, a travel photographer. While Fahadh Faasil nominated Mammootty, the latter planted a sapling and challenged others. Now, Ilayathalapathy Vijay has accepted the challenge.

“Vijay accepted the challenge. He called me and confirmed it. He wants to make a difference. So, we’ve decided to plant around 25,000 saplings over a significant period of time,” says Abdul Manaf to a daily. And, Vijay will be nominating school children instead of celebrities. It’s so heartening to see Vijay support a revolutionary initiative like this.
