Vettaiyan grosses close to 200 crores worldwide in its opening weekend!
According to the box office reports from the trade, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan has done an opening weekend collection of around 190 crores in its opening weekend (Oct 10-13th). The film started pretty well and had a great Saturday, but the Sunday night shows seen a usual drop since the next is a working day and it is looking at just decent numbers on the weekdays as the evening shows are superb in the advance bookings.
The Rajini starrer has amassed close to 75 crores on its first four days in TN, while the overseas numbers have also been pretty good. In the USA, the film has crossed the 2 million mark. Vettaiyan will also be a strong performer in the Telugu states as well as Kerala, as the film has done well there and will break even shortly.
