Vetrimaaran’s upcoming production titled Sanga Thalaivan
National award-winning filmmaker Vetrimaaran’s next production under his banner Grass Root Film Company has been titled Sanga Thalaivan, which is an adaptation of one of the most realistic novels ‘Thariyudan’ authored by Bharathinathan.
His longtime associate Manimaaran of Pugazh and Udhayam NH4 fame will be helming this project. The film stars Samuthirakani, Karunaas, Aramm fame Sunulakshmi and Vijay TV fame Ramya in essential roles. The shooting of this film will commence from January 22.
Bharathinathan’s ‘Thariyudan’ is a critically acclaimed novel, which deals with the novelist’s own experiences based on the critical industries across westerns districts of Tamil Nadu – Salem, Coimbatore, and Erode. It delves deep into the issues involving various sectors of this region.
