Veteran politician Vaiko enters film production through ‘Velu Naachiyaar’

MDMK President Vaiko has announced his entry into Tamil feature film production through Velu Naachiyaar, the popular 18th-century queen from Sivagangai who provided a stiff opposition to the British rulers before independence.

The stage play Velu Naachiyaar was showcased in the city last night, where Vaiko made his announcement. The movie will be produced under Vaiko’s home banner Kannagi Films. Director Sriram Sharma who conducted the stage play in a lot of countries will also helm the feature film project. The pre-production for the film has already begun.
