Veteran actor SS Rajendran passes away!

Veteran actor SS Rajendran who was hospitalised in a private hospital in Alwarpet passed away today morning around 11 AM. Known for his roles in Parasakthi, Manohara, Raththa Kanneer, SSR is a prolific actor who started his career as a theater artist. He has acted in more than 100 Tamil films and was fondly called Latchiya Nadigar courtesy his inspiring dialogues with a pristine clear diction. He proved as a competent actor amidst his rivals MGR and Sivaji Ganesan. He was the first actor in India to win an election. He was elected as the MLA of Theni constituency in 1962.
