Veteran actor Raj Kiran moved by Manja Pai

Directed by debutant Raghavan, former assistant of filmmaker Sargunam of Vaagai Sooda Va fame, Manja Pai is produced by Sargunam Cinemas and Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers who is also releasing the film. Lakshmi Menon and Vemal play the lead roles. The film is about the relationship between a grand father, who hails from a village and his emotional bond shared with his grandson. Raj Kiran essays the role of Vemal’s grand father.

Now a days, we don’t get to see Raj Kiran in action much. He has become very choosy in his roles and acts only in handpicked films. Raj Kiran who plays an ardent MGR fan in the film is apparently a fan of Makkal Thilagam in real life too. “When Raghavan narrated the script to me, I was really moved by the way he has written the scenes between grand father and grand son. I immediately decided to be a part of the project.” Manja Pai is all set to hit the screens on June 6th.
