Velraj on his collaboration with Vetrimaaran

Cinematographer-turned-director Velraj, who is elated with the release of his second feature film Thanga Magan, is currently busy at the sets of Vishal’s Marudhu with director Muthaiah of Komban fame. Velraj is also eager to start Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai, which will go on floors next year. Velraj’s earlier collaborations with Vetrimaaran in Aadukalam and Pollathavan met with huge critical acclaim.

“Vetrimaaran sits with me and helps me decide the whole tone of the film. We narrow down the colours and the backgrounds in advance,” says Velraj who also hints at his third directorial which will be decided soon. Vada Chennai features Dhanush and Samantha in the lead roles. Santhosh Narayanan composes music.
