Vedalam goes to Sandalwood
After the super success in Tamil, Ajith Kumar’s Vedalam is all set to be remade in Kannada. Sandalwood superstar Puneeth Rajkumar is expected to play the lead role and veteran producer AM Ratnam, who funded the original, will bankroll the Kannada version too.
The film will be helmed by Nanda Kishore, best known for the superhit Victory. This marks Nanda Kishore’s second remake of a Tamil film after his highly successful sophomore outing Adyaksha, which was an official remake of Sivakarthikeyan’s Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam. The remake of Vedalam is expected to start towards the end of 2016 or early 2017 once Puneeth and Nanda complete their ongoing assignments.
