Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga (VSOP) Songs Review

Review Overview

Vaasuvum Saravananum Onna
Sona Sona
Lucka Maattikkichi
Adada Onnum Solladha
Naa Romba Busy

Functionally entertaining

Altogether, VSOP is an engaging album which does entertain in parts. While Imman's tunes are a let-down, his knack of picking the right singers is a delight. Should do the trick with the visuals.

Cast: Arya, Tamanna, Santhanam

Music: Imman

Lyrics: Na Muthukumar, Rokesh, Snighdha Chandra

Direction: Rajesh M

Label: Sony Music

Vaasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga: Singers – Sooraj Santhosh, Kailash Iyer

Imman’s stale tune grabs no help from the singers either, resulting in an underwhelming track to start the album.

Sona Sona: Singers – Armaan Malik, Varun Parandhaman, Maria Roe Vincent

Armaan Malik makes a smashing entry into the Tamil music space with this Bollywood-ish, easily appealing track. Varun Parandhaman and Maria Roe Vincent do the needful to make merry, you will be humming this pretty soon. Our PICK.

Lucka Maattikkichi: Singers – Dholak Gaana Jagan, Senthildass, Palaniammal

The draggy and overused tune makes an appearance yet again. However, it is accentuated by the lively vocals, adept with quirky pronunciations.

Adada Onnum Solladha: Singers – Benny Dayal, Shakthisree Gopalan

Though the beat being familiar to Imman’s discography is an impediment, the lovely rendition from Benny and Shakthisree make this worth a listen. Another PICK.

Naa Romba Busy: Singers – Santosh Hariharan, Neeti Mohan, Sharanya Gopinath

Here comes a track for the masses. Built with funny one-liners (remember Dandanakka) and techno inclusions, it does what it set out too, decently.
