Vasanth’s protege to direct Karthik and Vaibhav
Actor Karthik, who made a splendid comeback in Dhanush’s Anegan by essaying the role of antagonist, has signed his next project titled Jindhaa where he will be seen sharing screen space with young actor Vaibhav. “This film will belong to a new genre called ‘dark gangster comedy’. It is a energy-oriented script and even as I was writing this script, Karthik sir and Vaibhav fit the bill perfectly. I’m sure they will bring life to my characters who are lively,” says director S K Vetri Selvan, a former assistant of Vasanth.
The film is being produced by SAF Raja under the banner SAF Cinemas. Sushma Raj of India Pakistan fame has been roped in to play the female lead. Karthik is said to have a powerful role in the film.
