Varisu becomes a highly profitable venture, before it’s release

Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu has already started off with its promotional run through interviews and the launch of stills and other material from the film. According to reports, Varisu is already sitting on the profit table, as it has amassed a splendid pre-release number even though there are two months left for the release.

Varisu’s TN rights have been sold for 72-75 crore, while the overseas rights have been sold at 35 crores. The film’s OTT rights have been sold to Amazon Prime for 60 crores while its satellite and audio rights have been sold for 50 crores to Sun TV and 10 crores to T-Series respectively. With the Hindi dubbing valued at over 30 crores and the Kerala-Karnataka market leading to more than 15 crores, Varisu is already sitting at a handsome margin prior to the release of its first single which is expected later this week.
