Varalaxmi Sarathkumar signed up for Maari 2

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who has had a fantastic year with good roles in Vikram Vedha and Sathya, has been signed up to play a pivotal character in Dhanush’s Maari 2 directed by Balaji Mohan.

To be shot as a genuine bi-lingual, Maari 2 has Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas playing the villain and Krishna in an important role. Produced by Dhanush’s home banner Wunderbar Films, the movie has Sai Pallavi playing the lead heroine.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose music for the film, which is likely to start rolling from January-end or early-February.
