An amusing family entertainer!
STR gives a complete look and feel for a fun film and he seems to have enjoyed the role. VRV is nothing new in the commercial list but it's Sundar C and STR’s right mix for audiences who don't mind watching a formulaic entertainer.

Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven is a full fledged commercial drama and a fairly engaging entertainer. STR seems to be in full form throughout the plot which is interconnected with all the characters in the script. Sundar C in his making has added all the flavors in his style and there’s nothing to be experimented as the original version has been made scene by scene with very rare changes.
STR is a multi millionaire and is entrusted with a task to join his parted family member after a gap of twenty five years. Then he comes to Ramya Krishnan’s house to convince her but she seems to hate everyone from her father’s family. How STR tries to convince Ramya Krishnan is tapped in a commercial style. A short concept that has been narrated in a lengthy storytelling is saved by comedy, emotions and sentiments. Two heroines Catherine Tresa and Megha Akash had equal time on screen and both had equal importance too with songs and romance. The film featured an extensive cast as in all sundar c films. Robo Shankar , Motta Rajendran, Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh have traveled throughout the script and there were plenty of time for giggles although some of them appeared repetitive.
STR gives a complete look and feel for a fun film and he seems to have enjoyed the role. How STR tries to convince Ramya Krishnan and Prabhu and whether he succeeded or not forms the story of Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven. Suman, Prabhu, Nasser, Mahat and others have justified their given roles. Songs and BGM of Hip-hop Tamizha were foot tapping.
Overall VRV is nothing new in the commercial list but it’s Sundar C and STR’s right mix for audiences who don’t mind watching a formulaic entertainer.
