Director Gowthaman of Magizhchi and Kanave Kalaiyaadhe fame has come to the rescue of comedy king vaigaipuyal Vadivelu on the Tenaliraman issue. Kollywood stars are raking in their support for the resurgent comedian one after another. We had actor-director-activist Seeman issuing an official press release supporting Vadivelu few days back. It is alleged that detractors from Telugu organisations have been making threaten calls to Vadivelu at free will on a continuous basis. They have marched together in front of his house, jeopardizing the actor, who is keen to make the much-needed comeback in Tenaliraman.
These unwarranted actions from Telugu organisations seems to have enraged the supporters of Vadivelu. Even after clarifying that the film has nothing to do with King Krishnadevaraayar and the role which Vadivelu plays is a fictitious one, nothing seems to have ceased on the issue. “Vadivelu is one of the most respected and celebrated comedians in Tamil film industry after NS Krishnan, ‘Danaal’ Thangavelu and Goundamani. It has really saddened me to hear these allegations against an actor, who has always wanted to entertain people to the core.”
We hope the issue gets sorted out real soon and Tenaliraman marks Vadivelu’s grand re-entry in Tamil cinema.
