Vaathi grosses more than 45 crores at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend!

Dhanush’s Vaathi/SIR has opened superbly at the box office, with its Tamil and Telugu versions doing very well. In Telugu, the film has already turned into a profitable venture as it has grossed 16.5 crores in the first 3 days, and that is definitely a big start. In Tamil, the film has grossed close to the same amount in 3 days, which means that in combination, Vaathi/SIR has done 30+ crores in Tamil Nadu and the Telugu states.

The film has grossed 3.4 crores from Karnataka, while its rest of India box office and the worldwide collections would account to another 10 crores. Vaathi has now done more than 45 crores at the box office, and its real test begins today. If the film manages to catapult good numbers at the box office during the weekdays, it will surely turn into a blockbuster by the end of next weekend.
