Unstoppable Mersal teaser is setting benchmarks worldwide
Vijay’s extravagant Mersal teaser which was released on Thursday evening on YouTube has been setting benchmarks worldwide by surpassing old records swiftly. Within few hours of release, the number of likes on the teaser piled up to 600K and set a world record as the most the liked film teaser.
The teaser has also been trending in nearly 20 countries on YouTube, which is also an unprecedented feat for an Indian film. In less than 31 hours, the teaser hit 13M views, making it one of the fastest film teasers to have reached that benchmark. In 28 hours, it breached the 750K likes mark and is still trending on top in YouTube India.
The movie has created massive expectations among audiences and is all set to hit screens for Diwali. Produced by Sri Thenandal Films, which also marks their 100th production and directed by Atlee, Mersal features Thalapathy Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha, Nithya Menen, Vadivelu, Sathyaraj and SJ Suryah in important roles. AR Rahman has composed the music for the film.
