Udhayanidhi Stalin ropes in Anirudh Ravichander for Idhayam Murali
Udhayanidhi Stalin has roped in Anirudh Ravichander and Imman for his next two films. While it was reported earlier that Anirudh will compose music for Udhay’s next, now it’s official from the man himself. Idhayam Murali, which will go on the floors from March 2015 will have Anirudh Ravichander as composer and his another yet-untitled film, earlier called as Gethu, will have Imman as composer, confirmed Udhay in a chat session. “The title is not Gethu, we’re looking for a better title,” said Udhay. While Idhayam Murali is directed by Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai fame, the other film, which will roll out from January 20th, 2015, is directed by Thirukumaran of Maan Karate fame.
Idhayam Murali has Hansika Motwani playing the female lead but Udhay’s regular collaborator and friend Santhanam will not be there in the film. Major portions of the film will be shot in the USA. And, the gorgeous Amy Jackson will star opposite Udhayanidhi in Thirukumaran’s untitled family drama which is about the relationship between a father and son. Sathyaraj essays the role of a father.
Udhayanidhi is currently awaiting the release of Shankar’s I and Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal to decide the release date for Nannbenda, where he is paired with Nayanthara for the second consecutive time. “she’s the lady super star! Lucky to have worked wit her! Especially 2 movies,” he says. Udhayanidhi plays Siva and Santhanam plays Sivakozhundhu in Nannbenda. Udhayanidhi claims that Nannbenda, directed by Jagadish, will be like watching Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (OKOK) Part 2.
