Udhayam theatre applause was the biggest gift, says Parthiepan
R. Parthiepan’s biggest gift for the success of Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam is getting applause from Chennai’s Udhayam Theatre, known for its mass audience. Parthiepan spent the last two days battling piracy in city’s popular hotspots such as Burma Bazaar and Anna Nagar. “KTVI was a huge gamble, a do-or-die attempt. It’s sheer timing. The audience was in a mind frame to accept a film that broke all rules of telling a story; I gave this film my all,” says Parthiepan.
Parthiepan is so happy his film has been lauded by many next-gen filmmakers. “Young directors such as Karthik Subbaraj and Nalan Kumarasamy are celebrating this film without treating it as competition. What else can I ask for?,” remarks Parthiepan.
