Udhay – Amy’s next is an action-romance thriller

After donning the chocolate boy roles, Udhayanidhi Stalin has finally decided to take on the action hero avatar in his upcoming film directed by Thirukumaran, who earlier helmed Maan Karate. The film was earlier titled Gethu but the team had to drop it since someone else already registered it and is on the lookout for a new title. Udhay says he chose love stories in the beginning to gain an entry into cinema and play to his strengths.

“The first half is breezy rom-com that turns into an engaging thriller with twists and turns post interval. I feel that I’m able to pull off the action role now. It’s not like I play a guy who takes on a 100 goons. The action has been meticulously incorporated into the script itself,” says Udhay. Amy Jackson essays a brahmin girl and dons traditional attire in this flick. Sathyaraj and  Vikranth play pivotal roles.
