Uma Krishnan, Trisha’s mother, has opened up about the split between Trisha and Varun in a recent interview to a Tamil magazine. Though not outspoken, she clears the air that the split is not because of Trisha’s signing spree. There were reports in the media that the couple broke up since Trisha signed a bevy of projects in a short time. “It’s not because of that. Varun was very encouraging in Trisha pursuing her acting career post marriage. His family was also okay with the decision. In fact, they felt proud that Trisha is acting in films,” clarifies Uma.
“If the issue involves me and Trisha, I wouldn’t have asked opinions to anyone. I would speak openly. There are a lot of big-shots involved in the break-up. I have great respect for all of them. I cannot talk about them frankly. It’s not good to talk. There’s no use in a living a compromised life if there is difference of opinion. It’s better to split now than to brood later,” says Uma.
“Trisha is now fully focussed on her career. She has signed Kamal Haasan’s next and will also be seen in Selvaraghavan’s upcoming film,” she concluded.
