After the massive second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic which took down more lives than expected, the state of Tamil Nadu is hopping back to normal with theatres opening up after a four month gap. More than 30 new Tamil films are lining up for release in the big screens, coming through the backlog period which has been frustrating for both producers and exhibitors.
Fans of Tamil cinema are now waiting with bated breath for the new season of releases, which would bring across a lot of excitement. We would have to wait and see as to which producers would be ready to take the first jump, with just three shows per day and 50% occupancy allowed at the moment (effective from Aug 23rd).
