TN government revokes 100% occupancy, Pongal releases to change plans?
In an unfortunate move for theatres, the TN government has brought back the 50% occupancy rule, revoking the order on 100% occupancy for theatres in the wake of the Pongal festival. The government has said that they will follow the MHA guidelines until any further changes are implemented, but will be allowing an increase in shows from the current situation.
As of now, it looks like the makers of both Master and Eeswaran will be going forward with their plans to release the film in theatres on their respective dates, which are set one day apart. The industry hopes that it can hope back to seeing audiences back in big numbers from Pongal onwards.
