“Three days time to remove Amy Jackson from 2.o,” says Veeralakshmi
Veeralakshmi, founder of fringe group Tamizhar Munnetra Padai, has demanded the removal of Amy Jackson from Shankar-Rajinikanth’s 2.o for offering support to animal rights organization PETA’s new petition requesting the government to uphold the ban on Jallikattu, a tradition bull-fight held during the Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu.
“Hailing from Britain, Amy does not know anything about the valorous sport of Jallikattu. She has no business supporting the ban on the Tamilian veera vilayattu. We came to know that she is playing Rajinikanth’s pair in the sequel, which is directed by Shankar. We have demanded that she be removed from the film and have given the filmmakers three days’ time. If they fail to do so, we will protest in front of Superstar, as well as Shankar’s homes on Monday, December 21,” says Veeralakshmi.
TMP has also requested South Indian Film Artistes Association to terminate her Amy Jackson’s membership from the union.
