Thiruvin Kural Movie Review

An emotionally charged story that comes with Arulnithi’s good performance. Below goes our Thiruvin Kural Movie Review.

Emotional tales between father and son have come across quite a lot in Tamil cinema, and the next offering in the same line is Thiruvin Kural featuring Arulnithi in the lead role.

Following his portrayal of specially abled characters in Mounaguru and Brindhavanam, Arulnithi comes in with another mute and partially deaf character for Thiruvin Kural, this time with anger issues. The film is based on the story of what happens when Thiru (Arulnithi) takes his father to the hospital after an accident, and gets into an ego clash with the workers there. The first half of Thiruvin Kural is quite interesting for sure, with many interesting episodes at the hospital. As the film moves forward however, it does repetitive and loses out on the interest factor. The action sequences in the film too are not so convincingly choreographed, which make it a little bit of a bother for the film.

Arulnithi is a good pick for this role, and the actor does justice to his part in the film with a very convincing performance.

The four member gang at the hospital have been picked very well, and they do have a strong presence although it withers out in the second half. The rest of the cast have a decent job to do and carry it out well.

The film is technically neat albeit feeling on the lower side, and not having any big stretches. The making and theme are similar to Naan Mahaan Alla in many parts.

Overall, Thiruvin Kural is a decent emotional action drama that impresses in parts.

Verdict: Arulnithi delivers a convincing performance in a fine emotional drama.
