Theri US rights acquired by Cine Galaxy for a record sum
Cine Galaxy, a popular distribution company, has acquired the US rights for Vijay’s Theri for a whopping sum of INR 3 crores. Cine Galaxy officially inked the deal with Kalaipuli S Thanu in Chennai yesterday, just a day after the film’s audio launch happened. This is reportedly the biggest price ever paid for a Vijay film in the US.
Sources say Cine Galaxy has obtained permission to organize special premieres in the US a day before the film’s Indian release date. Cine Galaxy has a big line-up for this summer including Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Suriya’s 24.
