“Theater shutdown has inflicted unimaginable loss to the film industry”

“Whenever I take part in any film event I usually don’t speak anything apart from the movie. But today there is a necessity. Theaters in Tamil Nadu have been shut down for the past two days and it has inflicted unimaginable loss to the film industry. With 28% GST and 30% state tax, how can the industry survive? The industry is ready to pay GST but the state government has to remove its 30% taxing. The tax exemption introductory by Karunanithi was followed by Jayalalitha too.
