Theater owners refuse to share VPF with the producers; stalemate continues

R Panneerselvam, president of Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association, has said that theater owners will never share the VPF charges with the producers.

Vishal has said that his final demand would be to share the VPF with theater owners on a 50:50 basis until Aprill 2019 for E-Cinema and 2020 for D-Cinema. Theater owners have agreed to computerize the tickets across the state from June but have strongly refused to share the VPF with producers, which has led to the continuation of the stalemate situation.
