Thangalaan to release only after the election week: Producer Dhananjayan

In a recent interview, Studio Green CEO Dhananjayan has made it clear that the works for Chiyaan Vikram’s Thangalaan are done, and the film is just waiting for the election waters to clear away so that it can release in theatres. “Until the elections are over, it will be all politics around and less of cinema. So we will wait for the elections to be over, and then release the film immediately,” he said.

Thangalaan is now likely to release in theatres during the 3rd week of April, or in May. The film directed by Ranjith is a period epic that has music by GV Prakash. On the other hand, Studio Green’s first release of the summer will be the GVP starrer Rebel which is releasing on 22nd March.
