Thalapathy Vijay honours toppers of 10th and 12th through a special event!

This morning, Thalapathy Vijay honored the students of class 10 and 12, who topped in their respective districts. The event took place in a grand manner at the RK Mahal, where Vijay had organized breakfast, and also stays for those students coming in from other districts.

Vijay’s new look for Leo and his speech at the event are the talk of the town now, as the star spoke in an inspiring fashion. Excerpts from his speech are below.

“I’ve spoken at many audio launch functions, but this is very different for me. I have a lot of responsibility here and I can feel that. I’m not a high flying student like you, but I wanted to do something for the students and the teachers who worked hard for this.”

“I recently saw a film (Asuran climax dialogue) and a dialogue from it hit me hard. I feel that is very important and though people keep telling you ‘Nalla padi, nalla padi’ it has to be taken seriously”

“I’m not an avid book reader, but recently, I started reading and I’m enjoying the process. Even when scripts come to me, I prefer to hear the narration. I request youngsters to read more, learn about Ambedkar, Periyar and Kamarajar”

“I have one request. If there are students who haven’t done well in exams, please support them. Spend time with them and explain how easy it is to pass in exams. People will always be there to discourage you, what’s important is to listen to the voice inside you”
