July 4th
- Arima Nambi ✪ : Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and directed by Anand Shankar, it has Vikram Prabhu and Priya Anand in lead roles. It is touted to be slick action thriller
July 11th
- Ramanujan ✪ : It is a biopic directed by national award winning filmmaker Gnana Rajasekaran on the life of mathematics genius Ramanujan. Abhinay Vaddi, the grandson of Gemini Ganesan plays the titular role
- Sarabham: Produced by CV Kumar and directed by Arun Mohan, it stars Naveen Chandra of Bramman fame and newcomer Salony Luthra in lead roles. Expectations are sky high ever since the trailer out and the movie will see its release via Abi & Abi Pictures
- Nalanum Nandhiniyum ✪ : It is a breezy romantic comedy directed by R. Venkatesan from Venkat Prabhu’s school. Produced by Libra Productions, the film has Michael Thangadurai and Nandita in lead roles
July 18th
- Velai Illa Pattadhari ✪ : Directed by cameraman-turned-director Velraj, the film has Dhanush and Amala Paul in lead roles. Produced by Wunderbar Films and released by Escape Artists Motion Pictures, it is one of the much-awaited films this month.
- Bhooloham: Produced by Aascar films and directed by N. Kalyanakrishnan, it stars Jayam Ravi and Trisha in lead roles
July 25th
- Madras: Directed by Pa. Ranjith of Attakathi fame, it is one of the highly anticipated movies this month. It features Karthi and newbie Catherine Tresa in lead roles. It is produced by Studio Green
- Sathuranga Vettai ✪ : Produced by Manobala and directed by H. Vinod, it is tipped to be a satirical comedy on the lines of Soodhu Kavvum. The film has cameraman-turned-actor Nutty and Ishara playing the lead roles. It is released by Lingusamy for Thirupathi Brothers
- Salim ✪ : Directed by debutant Nirmal Kumar and the movie features music director Vijay Antony as hero after the stupendous success of his maiden acting venture Naan. No doubts that Salim is one of the anticipated movie of this month. Produced by Fathima Vijay Antony in association with Studio 9 Productions.

- Jigarthanda: Produced by Kathiresan of Aadukalam fame, the movie is directed by Karthik Subburaj of Pizza fame. It features Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles. This gangster musical is eagerly awaited by cinephiles
- Nambiar: Directed by debutant Ganeshaa, it has Srikanth and Sunaina in lead roles. Santhanam and Parvathy Omanakuttan play supporting roles in the film
