Legendary actress Sridevi, the first superstar heroine of Indian cinema who ruled Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi industries in her heydays, passed away at the age of 54 after suffering from a cardiac arrest in Dubai where she was attending the wedding of nephew and actor Mohit Marwah. She’s one of the few actresses who has shared screen space with actors across generations including MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Ajith.
According to Sridevi’s brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor, she breathed her last late in the night in Dubai yesterday. Sridevi is survived by Boney Kapoor and her two daughters – Janhvi and Khushi.
I’m shocked and very disturbed. I’ve lost a dear friend and the industry has lost a true legend. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I feel the pain with them #RIPSridev … you will be missed.

Have witnessed Sridevi's life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificeint lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved. Many happy moments with her flash through my mind including the last time I met her. Sadma's lullaby haunts me now. We'll miss her
