Tamannaah to reprise Kangana Ranaut’s role in ‘Queen’ Tamil remake
After a slew of names including Trisha and Nayanthara were under discussion, Tamannaah Bhatia has bagged the opportunity to play the lead heroine in the official Tamil remake of Bollywood blockbuster Queen, which starred Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. There are also reports that Amy Jackon is in talks to reprise the role played by Lisa Haydon in the original.
Produced by Thiagarajan under the banner Staar Movies, this yet-untitled remake will be helmed by veteran actor-turned-filmmaker Revathy. The dialogues for the film will be penned by Suhasini Mani Ratnam. Tamannaah has said that the film will be treated as an adaptation since Revathy and Suhasini are working on a lot of changes to suit the Tamil sensibilities.
